  Abstract Submission Rules
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: 15 July 2008
 
  The ESEI Scientific Committee invites the submission of research abstracts of excellent quality in all areas related to emerging infectious diseases. All abstracts are reviewed by the ESEI Scientific Committee for the quality and originality of their research, scientific content and presentation.
Abstracts may be accepted into one of the two categories:
- Oral presentation (only four papers)
- Poster presentation

 
  Closing Date Abstract:
 
  Deadline for Submission: 15 July 2008
The international Scientific Programme Committee will select abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts authors should tick a box indication a preferred type of presentation (oral or poster).
 
  Instructions for Authors:  
  General Information:
- Abstracts must be original and not have been submitted to any other national or international meeting
- All abstracts shall be submitted by email using the attached Abstract Form.
- Fax submissions will not be accepted.
- All abstracts must be typed in English.
- If you wish to submit more than one abstract, each abstract must be submitted with a separated “Original Abstract” form.
- Incomplete abstracts will not be accepted.
- Co-authors must agree with the content of the abstract.
- The original abstract will be reproduced directly from the typescript, therefore corrections cannot be accepted.
- The abstract shall be no more than 500 words in length.
 
  Abstract Preparation:  
  - Use simple spacing on the original abstract form provided. Take care not to type outside the frame.
- Arial font preferred – 11 point type only.
- Title should appear in bold caps at the top of the abstract.
- Presenting must be indicated by an asterisk (*).
- Author’s family name first, followed by initials of first and middle names.
- New line for institution and country only from where the work originated.
- Do not abbreviate.
- The abstracts will be printed as submitted.
- Abstracts should be structured (include Background, Material and Methods, Results, Conclusion) unless the content material precludes this.
 
    Notification:  
    Authors will receive a written notification confirming we have received your abstract. Should you not have received written notification of reception until 15 July 2007, please inform us by email.
Authors will receive notification by e-mail on acceptance of abstract (either as poster or as oral presentation), as well as instructions for oral and poster presentation requirements in writing by 15 August 2007.
 
    Ethical Guidelines:  
    In submitting this abstracts it is affirmed that any study involving humans or animals, or material derived from them, has been approved by the appropriate institutional ethics committee  
    ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Authors should limit their presentation to eight minutes. PC-data projection will be provided.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Adopted models will be conventional wall-paper (highs: 1,20m; width: 1,00m)
